A Little Behind...

Okay so I am definitely behind on blogging about my life but the previous ones pretty much some up the excitement I've endured over the last 2 1/2 years. As of today we are less than 2 months from graduating from the DLI in Monterey, California. Joe is totally kicking ass in Arabic and I am so proud of him.

I moved to Monterey in January of 2010. I am only 18 soon to be 19 and I have seen it all. I was very fortunate to have enough support from my family and I graduated early to move out here. Joe already missed out on the first half of Elias' life so I busted my ass and finished early so we could be a family. I was home in May/June of this year and I received my diploma. Yay. Now I attend online school and I will have my associates on October 12, 2012. I have not given up on school yet and I am going to take advantage of it while I can. I'm not your typical teen mom so I am proud to say I beat the statistics by finishing school, pursuing college right after and have been blessed to marry the father of my child. Not many girls get that opportunity but I couldn't have done it without my family.

It's been an amazing experience here in Monterey. Although I have learned that you will meet bad people wherever you go. It sucks but it's life and you just gotta deal with it. I have made the best of friends like Courtney, Sam, Sarah, Jess, Jamie, Chelsea. Kirsten, Kristen and Heather. These women are the sweetest and they never judge me or  exclude me. We all are in the same boat so we get along just fine. Jessica is moving on Monday and I will miss her terribly! She has been an awesome person to be around and just hang out with but I know she's ready to have a home and make memories with her husband. Good luck to you and the hubby!

Monterey is not like the rest of CA. It's always cold and cloudy, we're sometimes lucky enough to reach 80 degrees. It's so opposite from Colorado. We have the hottest summers and the coldest winters. I miss having seasons. Fall is coming up and there is nothing better than fall in Pueblo: Football, hoodies, beautiful trees, hot chocolate and more football. It's the best time of year and I have to miss it but I guess it's all about the sacrifice.

Nonetheless we are ready to get out of here, go to Tex-Ass then HOPEFULLY go to Pendleton. I want a home, I want to start our life together and not have to worry about the moves. We're already ready to get of the Marine Corps but we still have a little less than 2 1/2 years left of it all. Who knows we could change our minds and end up wanting to stay in but we'll see.

I feel I have caught you up on my life so I will hopefully continue to post regularly. Thanks for reading!!
