We just arrived in San Angelo Texas! Yes! I can't tell if I like it yet and I'm definitely disappointed with the housing. It doesn't look so nice on the outside but oh well, I guess it's whatever. We don't really get a say in much. I'm hoping we at least get to see it before we sign the lease.
The car ride was insane! Bubba did very well for the most part. We made good time and got him stretching a lot. It was a 32 hour drive but luckily we didn't drive the whole way. We stopped at his cousins house in Albuquerque for 2 days and rested up nicely. The mall there was pretty awesome, and big! Bigger than I've ever seen. We left Thursday the 9th and made it out of Cali that same day. Saturday and Sunday we relaxed, then headed out Monday morning around 7. It took us till about 5 to get there. AND we get to do this again next week! We're heading home to Colorado for a week. I really don't wanna go home but we kinda have to. It's annoying!
My honey bunny might be getting promoted next month! Yay. He's earned it! He's patiently waiting to find out. We also heard a possible deployment date if we get Pendleton. It's far away but it's kinda starting to feel like a reality. The orders are supposed to come in the spring for either Pendleton (Which is what we want), Hawaii. or North Carolina(We definitely do not want that!!). So hurry up and wait!! Gotta love it.
Things have to been so crazy lately! I just wanna slow down and breathe. But I'm pretty sure that won't happen till January at least. I asked my love if we can start being more adventurous with our lives and he seemed to agree, so hopefully in Angelo we can start having adventures and start going places. We had many chances in Monterey but he just wanted out of there. I also have hopes of buying all new things; dishes, pots, pans, decorations, new couch set, new coffee table, basically new everything. The stuff we have is like "starter" stuff, just to get us on our feet. It's time for a major upgrade! Our financial situation is improving and only gonna get better. We're waiting for his FLPP pay to kick in so we can breathe again. It's pretty nice to know they pay them for working so hard and learning a new language. And we are hoping to buy a new car with his bonus. We're looking at the middle of next year for that. So far we're stuck between an Envoy and a Jeep. We still have lots of time to figure it out though. Any suggestions?
We are also planning a formal wedding for July of next year:) I can't wait! I'll finally be able to start planning again once we get settled. It's all uphill from here (i hope)! It's time to do homework now. Thanks for reading!
